As we near our first stretch goal I want to thank you again for all of the wonderful support! It's incredible to see all of the excitement around Chrono Cross and Cross Symphonic! I've already started putting the production timeline into motion now that we've achieved the first funding goal. I wanted to send out an update to answer a few questions and to make a general announcement about digital downloads (See the final question).
I'll also add these to the FAQ section after this update with the same info.
Yes! The vinyl edition will feature Cross Symphonic in it's entirety! As this is about 70 minutes of music it will be spread across 2, maybe 3 LPs. I'm working with the manufacture right now to make sure that we don't make any compromises on this edition.
Right now the plan is to make a limited production run of physical rewards for Kickstarter only. With that said, there are production minimums that I have to meet and any excess stock will be sold off post campaign. Any production after that is to be determined. However, if production does continue some of the premium features from the Kickstarter Editions will be removed to make things more cost effective - also making the Kickstarter Editions a unique collector's item. (More on this later)
I can't edit Kickstarter tiers once someone has pledged to them, so I'm not able to edit the content or descriptions. However, as of right now I am setting up the backer rewards to include a digital download as a part of the Lynx ヤマネコ ($80) tier.
I'm also lowering the add-on price for the digital download for the Serge セルジュ ($40) tier to $5.
**If you have already pledged more for the digital download the extra money can be applied to any other add-on, or you are still able to adjust your pledge to a lower amount until the campaign ends.**
The last thing I wanted to mention is add-on shipping. If you have already paid for shipping through your tier then additional shipping is not required. The only exception is if you have added enough add-ons to significantly change your order weight.
All additional shipping fees will be calculated during the survey process and will be based on best available rates to your location.
Thank you all so much for being a part of Cross Symphonic, we're almost to the first stretch goal which will allow us to record a live string section for the album! While the strings on Cross Symphonic already sound great, recording a live string section will be one of the most significant jumps in quality giving us a whole new level of polish.
